Blue Cat with Copper Eyes

Blue cats have always held a fascination with me. Something nice and almost psychedelic about blue for a cat coat color. A la the movie Avatar ;) Of course, blue in this context actually mean diluted black, or in other words, a rich variant of gray.

He may not look too pleased about having his picture taken, but I like the combination of the blue coat, copper eyes, white teeth and pinky tongue.

That is my kind of cat. I do like a little more markings but I just love long fur. Those eyes are also striking. This is not the most pleasing expression but I am sure she has better days (:

Looks a little like me in the morning when the kids come and wake my up by jumping on the bed.

I have to agree with Selina. Absolutely beautiful. I have to admit that I didn’t know that this nuance of gray was what you call “blue”. I thought I had just never seen a “blue cat” :)

So thank you for teaching me something new :)

I have to agree with Selina’s comments above that she is indeed a beautiful cat, but it seems like perhaps it was an angry or off day when this particular picture was taken.

However in no way does this negate from the photography which is stunning and beautiful none the less.

It’s certainly different to most cat photography that catches them at their cuddliest and often ignores the fact that they still have natural instincts and when need be can be independent wild animals, I like this.
