A special photo here today, one of a beautiful calico cat running.
Photographing a cat while he or she are sitting or even sleeping is a challenge. It may sound easy but anyone who’s ever tried to take a good picture of a cat knows how difficult it really is. You have to get the right lighting, have your object in focus and choose the right composition. Above all, you have to really capture that unique “je ne sais quoi” that makes a photo really interesting.
And that’s when the cat isn’t moving.
Trying to achieve all of that when a cat is on the move is almost impossible. Which is what makes this photograph so unique.
Technically, it’s very good. The lighting and focus are great. The colors and composition are perfect, with the calico’s tricolored coat pattern shining through the green-brown background.
What’s more, it captured the cat. That determined look of this beautiful calico cat running on a mission to… who knows? She doesn’t appear to be too stressed, just resolved and bent on reaching wherever it is she’s running to.
What do you think? Do you find this photo inspiring in any way? I think it spells out determination and focus. I’d love to hear what you think about it though. Let me know how this calico cat running ahead makes you feel in the comments section below.
